Zambia’s top International Hip-Hop artist and multi award winner including BEFFTA Award for BEST INTERNATIONAL ACT has told his fans that he has been invited to attend the 54th Grammy Awards in the US.
In his weekly digest, Mr. Mr. Swagger, formerly known as C.R.I.$.I.$. said “as you may know, this is the biggest night in music and, it’s strictly on invitation”
Mr. Swagger said it’s a blessing for Zambian music “as we have come a long way”.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on February 12, 2012, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast on CBS. Nominations were announced on November 30, 2011 on prime-time television as part of “The GRAMMY”.
Paul McCartney will receive the MusiCares Person of the Year award on February 10, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, two nights prior to the Grammy telecast.The Beach Boys will also reunite for their 50th anniversary at the Grammys.
A total of 78 awards will be presented following the Academy’s decision to restructure the Grammy Award categories.

Kanye West received the most nominations with seven. Adele, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars each received six nominations. Lil Wayne, Skrillex and Radiohead all earned five nods.
