Suspected witchdoctors nabbed

Police have arrested two men from Chipata District believed to be witchdoctors after being found with 1 million Kwacha cash that was smeared with blood.

Mr. Siandenge identified the two as Edward Phiri 29 and Harry Mwale also aged 29 both known as Dr. Kapalamula of Chipata District.

He stated that the duo were arrested after a Western Union Money Transfer Cashier discovered that all the 50,000 Kwacha notes equivalent to 1million Kwacha that they wanted to send to their families in Chipata were smeared with blood.

Meanwhile, Police in Chingola have arrested a traditional healer who cut a growth on a woman’s private parts and applied herbs on the wound, but the patient later died.

The traditional healer has been charged with murder.

Copperbelt Deputy Police Commissioner Milner Muyambango has confirmed the incident to ZNBC News in Kitwe and named the victim as Katongo Sichone who died after profuse bleeding.

Mr. Muyanbango says Welling Gondwe fifty-five cut-off the growth on the woman’s private parts.
